Dearest WORK|OUT Staff Berlin,

we finally made it to Barcelona safely. Thanks a lot for your help in Berlin, we enjoyed our stay very much. I cannot believe we ran into an opportunity like that. Sightseeing with Karl was great, especially since we did not only see the Reichstag and the famous sights but also the real Berlin with its backalleys and suburbs. We are still living of the hamhog [Eisbein] we ate at Georg’s Bräuhaus, and the taste of the terrific German beer rests on our tongue. Thanks for the help finding a place to stay and the advice at the car rental. We met Ramon in Barcelona as arranged. The apartment is great. Too bad we cannot pay you back, but you and your fellows are always welcome to visit us. Your network is working quite well already. Keep it up.

Hello,

my name is Laura Loriedo. I am in Berlin for a stage from May to July 2004.
I started learning German, one year ago, and I still think it is very hard. When I applied for the stage in December, I was even a little nervous about, how it would be to live in Berlin, far away from home without being able to express myself properly. Then I got here and found your paper WORK|OUT. It is great to have a German-Italian link apart from the exchange programs and university projects. I have been learning Italian for four years, and there even was an article in Spanish. It felt like home. Then I started a German course at the language school I chose from your service pages. The class was cheap and it corresponded perfectly to my skill level. Additionally, I was quickly integrated into a wonderful set of friendships. Thank you for your guidance and your service offers. Stay the way you are and hopefully there will be a paper like yours in Spain, too.
