LUXEMBURG VS. BERLIN
The second session of this bilateral event is taking place on September 15th in Berlin. After rocking last month’s „e-lake festival“ in the small neighboring state, the initative invites artists from three different nations aboard the „FMS Spree Comtess“ to rock the inner city of Berlin from its main river. Six hours of rockmusic! Start of the tour is 6 p.m. in Kreuzberg. Tickets are available for 10 Euros only at the FUNK Store in Prenzl’Berg.

MODERN ART
The tourist experience comes full circle: travel to London and attend an ambitious modern art exhibition all about tourism. Subtitled “Art, Life and the Tourist’s Eye”, this compilation of photos, sculptures, and large-scale film projections explores various aspects of travel, documentation, and the impact of the tourist industry. 6 October — 11 December.

VOX POPULI EUROPAE
...aims at creating focal points for Europelevel discussions. Every month the Citizens of Europe post a question including answers from European people, provocative or related to current politics in different international and local publications and on their website to create a dynamic interaction. WORK|OUT European Students’ Review supports this initiative, starting with the following question

   Is the “Common Foreign & Security Policy” (CFSP) of the EU able to protect the Europeans from terrorism?

PRAGER MOTIVE
Eine Fotoausstellung zeigt vom 15.9. bis 28.10. Werke von Stanislav Tuma. Seit über 25 Jahren dokumentiert der 1950 geborene Fotograf den trotz Kommerzialisierung und Massentourismus noch existierenden Charme der tschechischen Hauptstadt. Zu sehen im Tschechischen Zentrum, Friedrichstraße, Berlin.

PODIUMSDISKUSSION
„Die Slavistik wird immer mehr zu einer bedrohten Art. The Mayor’s Thames Festival (17.-18.9.) invites you to join the Londoners celebrating their city, the cultural diversity of their town and of course, their beloved River Thames. Along the South Bank there will be live music, fireworks, treasure hunts and a torch-lit procession with illuminated floats.
